In a bright Aussie bush, where the wildflowers grow, lived a Superb Fairywren named Ari, always ready to go!

With feathers that shimmered in soft shades of blue, he zipped through the treetops with so much to do! 🌳

"Oooo! A bug! A breeze! A leaf that just spun!" Ari chirped loud, “Look! This day has begun!”

He zipped left, then right, no time to be slow, the world was exciting, with places to go!

He raced to tell Tilly about a cool log, then zoomed past Opal who was hugging her frog. 🐸

Chad tried to greet him, but Ari flew by, too busy to listen or even say hi.

So much to see and so much to do… but it all felt too blurry to follow it through.

His thoughts zoomed and zipped like leaves in the air. All tangled and twirling and rushing somewhere. 🍃 

He flopped on a twig with a sigh and a blink, “My brain feels too busy, I just can’t seem to think.”

The colours, the noises, the zooming around… all felt like too much, too big and too loud.

Opal flew close with a soft gentle voice, “Ari,” she said, “let’s make a choice”

"Slow down, little bird, look close, take a pause, notice the gumtree, the bark, and its flaws.” 🪵

“Feel how the breeze makes your feather tips sway? Hear how the creek sings not far away?"

"Just one tiny thing is enough for right now. Let your heart settle down, I’ll show you how.”

He noticed the bark, the way leaves fell down, the smile on Chad’s face, the scent on the ground.

Each little moment, felt bigger somehow, now that he wasn’t, all go-go right now.

He sat with his friends, still curious and bright, but now he could focus and that felt just right. 🌟

Ari chirped softly with a flap and a grin, “Turns out the best things… are slow to begin.”

When your thoughts feel fast and your wings want to race, take a breath, find the quiet, slow down your pace.

Even the busiest birds, need time to rest, to notice, to listen, to feel their best.
