Our Story
I was born and raised in Australia in a traditional household — where love wasn’t always expressed openly.
As a dad, I wanted to do things differently. I wanted to be more present, more nurturing — to create the kind of connection I’d always admired in other families.
But I quickly realised that meeting big feelings with calm and confidence isn’t always easy — especially during transitions like drop-offs, bedtime, or those unexpected emotional meltdowns.
That’s where PatchO began.
I wasn’t looking for a quick fix or something to “stop” emotions. I wanted a gentle, practical way to support my child — and myself — through big feelings, without adding more noise or pressure.
Because kids are always growing and changing — and so are their emotions. What stays constant is their need for comfort, familiarity, and connection.
PatchO isn’t here to replace a parent’s presence — It’s here to support it — especially when things feel hard.
